Full Description2.7m DuraPost Classic Fence Post – Galvanised This 2.7m DuraPost Classic Fence Post – Galvanised is engineered from cold-rolled galvanised steel and features a deep 48mm H-style channel that securely holds fence panels and cant rails for closeboard fencing. With a 600mm burial depth, it supports a maximum finished fence height of up to 2.1m, making it well suited to taller privacy fences, raised garden levels and boundary lines requiring extra height. The Classic H-channel allows easy fixing of timber rails, enabling a broad range of fence designs such as full-height closeboard, hit-and-miss screening, or hybrid arrangements combining timber and DuraPost composite boards. It also integrates seamlessly with standard fence panels. The post uses 1.5mm cold-rolled steel that is folded to approximately 3mm at the front for extra stiffness without unnecessary weight. It is guaranteed for up to 25 years and has been wind tested to withstand speeds up to 110mph, in line with BS EN 12839:2012 and BS EN 1794. This makes it a strong, weather-resistant and long-lasting alternative to concrete or timber posts, while remaining easier to handle and install.
